Eskdale Publishing’s Use of AI Books published by Eskdale Publishing and Beauford House Books are written entirely by their human author, ie Antony or Paul Wootten. No AI is used in the writing of our books. Some (by no means all) of our books have AI illustrations on the cover and/or internally. Even though I (Antony) am an illustrator, sometimes there is not the time or budget to illustrate a book by hand. In these cases, AI is the best tool for the job. Without it, certain books may never see the light of day. Our books are about the writing. The illustrations are there to advertise the writing and, in some cases, to provide an appealing wallpaper for the written content. Even though AI illustrations can be stunning, we do not present them as works of art. They are there to turn heads, encouraging people to read our stories and poems. The artistry is in the stories and poems we write. NB: Eskdale Publishing is my (Antony Wootten’s) publishing house. I use it to self- publish my own books. My dad, Paul Wootten, is also an author and his books are published by Beauford House Books, an imprint of Eskdale Publishing. While I do offer publishing services to other authors, I don’t publish their books under the label of Eskdale Books or Beauford House books.
